To Louise Hays Park:

From the East: Austin and vicinity

It’s about a 2-hour drive from downtown Austin.  Follow US-290 W to Fredericksburg and left on State Hwy 16 South to Thompson Dr in Kerrville

From the Southeast: San Antonio, Boerne

It’s about an hour’s drive from downtown San Antonio: Follow I-10 West and take exit 508, TX-16 South (Sidney Baker Street) to Thompson Drive in Kerrville

Shuttle & Parking:

You will be unable to park at Louise Hays Park for this event. Park entrances will be closed to the public for the day of the festival. 

Street parking is available outside of Festival grounds, including the free downtown parking garage on the corner of Sidney Baker and Water Street (201 Clay Street). The downtown garage has ADA parking on the 3rd floor.

The River Festival Courtesy Shuttle Buses will operate between Noon and until the festival crowd has cleared. There will be 3 shuttle stops around Kerrville to make it easy for people to park at a convenient location. The Three Stops include:

  •  Schreiner University: Parking lot for the Trailhead Beer Garden on Acorn Loop
  • Public Downtown Parking Garage: Clay Street Entrance
  • Park Lane: Stop adjacent to field behind H-E-B

Accommodations:

Kerrville-Schreiner Park has 517 acres on the Guadalupe River. The grounds include camping accommodations to suit almost any preferred camping style. RV hook-ups—many with water, electricity and sewer connections—are plentiful, as are tent campsites, cabin rentals and ranch houses. .
